On July 25, Yangji Community in Guangzhou's Yuexiu District reported a confirmed case of chikungunya fever. Local authorities have initiated comprehensive mosquito control measures and urged residents to enhance personal protection.
From July 26 to August 1, Guangzhou will launch a citywide anti-mosquito campaign to curb the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.
The Guangzhou Health Commission has also released a list of designated hospitals for treating dengue fever and chikungunya fever. The hospitals are as follows:
