Guangzhou Baiyun Int'l Airport launches E-channel Registry
Update: 2026-07-20     Source: South

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport officially launched its E-channel Registries on July 10, allowing eligible travelers to complete a one-time registration that grants access to all ports across China equipped with e-channels.

Authorities estimate that the center will process approximately 25,000 eligible inbound travelers each month.

The E-channel Registries are located in the Temporary Entry Permit Application areas of the arrival halls at Terminals 2 and 3. Terminal 2 has three registration counters, while Terminal 3 has two.

The registry operates 24 hours a day, offering immediate registration and approval. Once travelers complete a one-time registration, their information is recognized nationwide. This enables them to use the e-channels at all eligible ports of entry and exit across China.

Eligible applicants for e-channel registration include foreign nationals holding a valid foreign passport and a Chinese Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card, as well as those holding a foreign e-passport and a Chinese residence permit with a validity of more than 6 months.

Eligible applicants also include foreign crew members serving on scheduled international flights who qualify for visa-free entry or who hold a C or Z visa or a residence permit with a validity of one year or longer. In addition, non-Chinese nationals holding a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents are eligible.

Other applicants eligible for e-channel registration include Hong Kong and Macao residents holding Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents; Taiwan residents holding five-year Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents; and Chinese airline crew members serving on scheduled international flights, among others.
