Dozens of hotels in Guangzhou have received official accreditation to host guests for China's 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games.
At a ceremony in Guangzhou on October 22, 2025, officials presented certifications to 38 hotels designated to provide accommodation and services during the games.
The scale of the operation is substantial. Nine hotels will serve the broader Guangdong division, while 29 are specifically designated for the Guangzhou sub-zone. The selected establishments represent a "who's who" of the city's hospitality sector, including prominent names like the White Swan Hotel, Garden Hotel, and Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Baiyun. Officials emphasized that the selections were based on rigorous assessments of facilities, service capabilities, and emergency support systems.
The commitment extends to incorporating local flavor, with suggestions to feature regional music and cuisine to give guests a taste of Lingnan culture. This focus on detail aims to create a "reception service brand" that showcases Guangzhou's unique charm.
With the certifications awarded, the hotels are poised to become crucial support centers for the thousands of athletes, officials, and visitors, playing a vital role in the games' overall success.
