A new Sam's Club opened in Guangzhou's Liwan District on December 22, providing residents in the western part of the city access to the Walmart-owned membership-based retail model. The store, located in the Lingnan V-Valley–Guangzhou International Smart Technology Park, is the third of its kind in Guangzhou and the 63rd in China.

Spanning 10,000 square meters with 1.5 square meters of commercial space, the warehouse-style store features over 4,000 curated products, including fresh food, household goods, and electronics. Among its exclusive items are Member's Mark matcha milk pudding cups and taro-and-salted-egg-yolk pastries developed with local suppliers. The site also includes dedicated areas for optical and hearing services, along with tasting stations for members.

To accommodate expected traffic, local authorities added or upgraded six roads near the store, totaling 1.01 kilometers in length, and optimized bus routes connecting the area to central Guangzhou and Foshan. The store offers nearly 1,000 parking spaces, including charging stations for electric vehicles.

The opening aligns with broader efforts to elevate Liwan's commercial profile, complementing upcoming projects such as the Tai Kwai Li and China Resources MixC developments in the nearby Bai'etan area.

Members can access same-day delivery via the Sam's Club app, with one-hour "express delivery" available for frequently purchased items. The store also provides virtual shopping options, including nationwide shipping with no delivery fee for orders over 299 yuan.
