The 2026 Yuexiu Xihu Flower Market opened its doors for the 2026 Spring Festival on February 13 and will run through February 17 at 2:00 am, offering visitors days of festive experiences.
During Guangdong's Spring Festival, locals follow the long-standing tradition of "行花街" (walking the flower streets)—strolling through streets, enjoying flowers, and buying New Year goods. The Yuexiu Xihu Flower Market, with its century-long history, carries these Lingnan customs and remains a highlight of Guangzhou's New Year flower-viewing tradition.
As the Year of the Horse, the market features horse-themed installations, immersive floral displays blending tradition and modernity, and showcases of intangible cultural heritage such as embroidery, copper work, and Lingnan crafts.
Meanwhile, from February 13 to February 16, daily between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, South will host an interactive booth at Booth No. 76 of the flower market, bringing fun games, festive vibes, and exclusive New Year gifts to the heart of the flower market.
Visitors are also invited to stop by, where they can take part in interactive games by simply scanning a QR code and downloading the South app. After completing the download, participants can spin a lucky game wheel for a chance to win South-branded Chinese New Year gifts, including creative cultural merchandise and festive souvenirs.
