The Meizhou-Longchuan section of the Longyan-Longchuan High-Speed Railway commences operations on September 14, integrating Meizhou into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's 2-hour living circle. 

The Railway spans a total length of 98 kilometers with a design speed of 350 km/h, with four stations: Meizhou West, Xingning South, Wuhua, and Longchuan West. Operating at its maximum speed of 350 km/h, the Meizhou-Longchuan railway authorities will arrange passenger train schedules based on regular and peak demands, with up to 62 CRH trains operating daily.

With the operation of the Railway, the spatial and temporal distances between Meizhou, Longchuan, and other cities within the GBA will be further shortened. The shortest travel time from Meizhou West to Longchuan West, Guangzhou East, and Shenzhen North will be 29 minutes, 1 hour 47 minutes, and 1 hour 36 minutes, respectively.
